Swiss Flex Travel Pass Pricing (2026)
The
Swiss Travel Pass Flex
offers the same unlimited coverage as the
Swiss Travel Pass
- trains, buses, boats, museums, mountain discounts - but on
non-consecutive travel days within a one-month window. Choose 3, 4, 6, 8 or
15 travel days and activate each one whenever you like during the month.
Ideal for slow itineraries with rest days between travel.
If you'll travel on most days back-to-back, the standard
Swiss Travel Pass
is cheaper.
For longer trips where you mainly buy individual tickets, look at the
Swiss Half Fare Card
.
Flex pass coverage is identical and includes the
Glacier Express
and the
GoldenPass Express
on activated travel days.

Swiss Travel Pass Flex FAQs
What is the difference between Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Travel Pass Flex?
The Swiss Travel Pass is valid for consecutive travel days. The Swiss Travel Pass Flex provides the same travel benefits but allows you to choose non-consecutive travel days within one month, making it ideal for itineraries with rest days.
How do I activate a travel day on the Swiss Travel Pass Flex?
A travel day is activated automatically the first time you use the pass for travel on that day, or you can pre-select your travel dates in the SBB Mobile app. Once activated, the travel day remains valid until 5:00 AM the following morning.
Is the Swiss Travel Pass Flex worth the extra cost?
The Swiss Travel Pass Flex is a good choice if your itinerary includes three or more non-travel days within a month. If you plan to travel on consecutive days, the standard Swiss Travel Pass usually offers better value.
Do mountain excursion discounts apply on non-travel days?
No. Discounts on mountain excursions are only available on activated travel days. On days when your Flex Pass is not activated, standard ticket prices apply.
